It's Official -- Pennsylvania Loves Philately

Holding a declaration “that the House of Representatives encourage all Pennsylvanians to recognize and celebrate the value of collecting stamps and related documents” are, from left to right, StampCamp USA Board Secretary Mrs. Teressa Sasserson, StampCamp USA Board Member Dr. Donna Mettler, Pennsylvania 68th District Representative Matthew Baker, and StampCamp USA Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Cheryl Edgcomb. As the Pennsylvania primaries draw ever closer and partisan feeling approaches fever pitch, it’s refreshing to note that one race has already been decided: Pennsylvania Supports Philately!

House Resolution No. 522, introduced in the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on December 4, 2007, enjoyed broad support from both sides of the aisle. Introduced by Pennsylvania 68th District Representative Matthew Baker (R-68), the bill attracted no fewer than 45 co-sponsors from every corner of the Keystone State.

Lending their names to the measure along with Baker were Representatives John C. Bear (R-97), Karen D. Beyer (R-131), Joseph F. Brennan (D-133), Steven W. Cappelli (R-83), Martin T. Causer (R-67), Paul I. Clymer (R-145), Mark B. Cohen (D-202), H. Scott Conklin (D-77), Bryan Cutler (R-100), Robert C. Donatucci (D-185), Gene DiGirolamo (R-18), Garth D. Everett (R-84), John T. Micozzie (R-163), Thomas P. Murt (R-152), T. Mark Mustio (R-44), John Myers (D-201), John E. Pallone (D-54), Thomas C. Petrone (D-27), Merle H. Phillips (R-108), Tina Pickett (R-110), Sean M.
