for Searching the Dealer Directory!
Searching
the Dealer Database can be as easy as 1-2-3, but you need to keep
a few things in mind:
- Select
a Database
- in Step 1 you have the option to search on the entire Dealer
Database or choose from a few standard databases we have created
for you. The standard databases are as follows:
- Search
only Dealers with E-Mail - is a list of all the
dealers that have e-mail addresses. (Remember you can narrow
down the list by using Step 2)
- Search
only Dealers with Retail Stores - is a list of
all the dealers that operate a retail store. This search
may be useful if you are traveling and want to know what
stamp stores will be available at your destination. (Remember
you can narrow down the list by using Step 2)
- Search
only Dealers with Websites - is a list of all
the dealers that have websites. (Remember you can narrow
down the list by using Step 2)

Narrow
your Search Using Step 2
- After selecting which database you would like to search in
Step 1, you can now narrow down your search by filling in additional
information in Step 2. For example, if you wanted dealers with
email addresses in the state of California, you would simply
choose "Search only Dealers with E-mail" in Step 1
and choose "California" from the State drop down list
in Step 2. It's that easy!!

Search Tips
Search
a single field, or a combination of fields
- In Step 2 you can enter search criteria in a single field or a
combination of fields, but remember to keep it simple. Filling in
too many search fields could be the reason why you're not finding
the dealer you are looking for.
Use
specific terms
- If you know that a dealer's name is John T. Doe you shouldn't
necessarily enter the entire name. You may not find a match because
his name may have been entered in our database as simply John Doe.
The best approach would be to simply search on the last name Doe.
Of course by using this approach you may get more dealers than you
needed but keep in mind that you can narrow the search down by using
another search field. For example, if you know that John T. Doe
lives in California, you could enter Doe as the dealer's last name
and select California from the state drop down list. Now you will
get a list of all the dealers with the last name Doe that live in
the state of California.
